Job summary

AgState is seeking an Operations Technician to join our Kingsley, IA location. This role focuses on agronomy and grain operations, with hands-on responsibilities in receiving, drying, blending, loading grain, and maintaining grain quality.

Qualifications

Valid state driver’s license is required.
Ability to obtain Class A CDL, Hazmat, and/or pesticide licenses within 30 days of employment.
Proven record of safe, reliable work with agriculture operations.

Responsibilities

Support the elevator operations.
Receive, dry, blend, and load grain.
Measure grain inventory as needed.
Prepare grain rail cars and load cars according to specifications.
Maintain grain conditions.
Support all aspects of Agronomy Operations.
Manage ag chemicals and fertilizer.
Understand chemical rates, uses, and restrictions.
Operate Fertilizer mix plant – dry & liquid.
Manage chemical warehouse & lead agronomy inventory.
Fill NH3 tanks.
Work safely and provide excellent customer service.
Perform equipment and facility maintenance including housekeeping and daily checks.
Assist other locations as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
