Fayetteville Woodpeckers in Fayetteville, NC, seek a Coordinator, Field Operations to support the Manager and Director in daily care of Segra Stadium grass and turf.

You will lead seasonal staff, ensure professional playing surface, and coordinate with front office. This role requires 2+ years in field management, supervisory experience, and IPM/turf knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in professional/collegiate sports field management.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Experience with turf maintenance and field renovation.
• IPM knowledge preferred and pesticide licensing.
• Strong organization and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the playing surface for baseball events, including daily infield maintenance.
• Assist in mowing, fertilizing, treating, and maintaining turf and infield areas.
• Ensure compliance with fertilizer, pesticide regulations.
• Prepare and inspect the field for games and events with safe conditions.
• Support game-day field preparations and weather monitoring.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating seasonal staff.
• Operate and troubleshoot mowers, tractors, irrigation, applicators, and other equipment.
• Monitor field conditions and recommend improvements.
• Maintain records of maintenance, treatments, and equipment usage.
• Serve as acting lead for field ops in absence of Manager; supervise staff and coordinate with front office.
• Promote safety-focused, team-oriented environment.
