Mass Electric Construction Co. invites engineering students to join our internship program in the MEC Industrial District. This hands-on experience covers construction management tasks in a fast-paced environment, offering exposure to field engineering, planning, procurement, and cost control.

Based in the MEC Industrial District, the internship emphasizes safety, initiative, and teamwork while preparing you for a full-time construction career with meaningful project involvement across locations.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel/relocate as needed.
• Full-time during summer (May–August).
• Pursuing undergrad or grad degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Able to access construction sites in varied climates and environments.
• Demonstrates initiative, strong work ethic and ethics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player with independence.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, scheduling, quantity tracking.
• Assisting with procurement, contract administration and supervision.
• Maintaining records of job progress, costs and material usage.
• Planning and scheduling job segments to meet deadlines.
• Investigating issues and proposing solutions.
• Reviewing plans for material requirements and pricing.
• Coordinating with suppliers to expedite materials delivery.
