Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Network Install Technician to move and install large enterprise equipment in AWS data centers across Oregon.

You will install fiber and copper cabling, ensure safety standards, and follow established procedures while traveling as needed. Requires 2+ years in data center operations, network cabling, and hardware experience; familiarity with VFL, power meters, and OTDRs is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center or equivalent technical experience.
• 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment experience.
• Experience with copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, and routers.

Responsibilities

• Move and install large enterprise equipment.
• Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cables between equipment.
• Maintain safety and security standards during wiring and rack installs.
• Follow established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities.
• Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
• Travel within and outside the regional work area as required.
