TEKsystems is seeking a hands-on Network Field Engineer to deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and validate network infrastructure in warehouse and distribution facilities in Raymond, NH. The role centers on Layer 2 switching, MDF/IDF architectures, VLAN configuration, trunking, and field troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has CCNA-level knowledge with practical switching experience and the ability to coordinate with vendors, read network drawings, and support on-site activation of gateways, APs,

Qualifications

• Hands-on CCNA-level networking with practical switching knowledge.
• Strong understanding of how switching interconnects support warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

• Configure and validate Layer 2 switching environments within warehouse and distribution facilities
• Load, review, and troubleshoot switch configuration files
• Configure and manage VLANs, trunk ports, port channels, switch port activation/deactivation, and subnet assignments
• Support deployment of Aruba, Cisco, HP, PLC, and industrial switching hardware
• Assist in bringing gateways, access points, and network-connected endpoints online
• Validate switch communication across MDF and IDF environments
• Diagnose and resolve VLAN mismatches, trunking issues, STP loops, port shutdowns, and misconfigured switch ports
• Troubleshoot devices connected to incorrect VLANs or subnets
• Use network diagnostic tools including packet sniffers, network probes, and spectrum analyzers
• Support remote engineering teams during deployment and validation activities
