Job summary

EQT Corporation in Summersville, WV, seeks a Midstream Operations Technician I/II/III/IV to maintain safe, reliable gas gathering systems and support pipeline operations.

You’ll perform maintenance, locate leaks, coordinate shut-downs with construction, document field data, and ensure compliance with DOT/PHMSA rules.

Eligible candidates have at least 1 year in natural gas operations, a HS diploma, basic computer skills, and a team-oriented, self-motivated attitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more related experience in natural gas industry.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Products.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe operating environment and follow policies; use Stop Work Authority as needed.
• Operate and maintain midstream gathering systems including compression, pipelines, storage, dehydration, measurement, and equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on pipelines, engines, motors, dehydration equipment, and gas compressors.
• Perform leak surveys, leak repair, methanol/odorant injection, valve maintenance, pigging, and one-call responses for line locating.
• Perform basic operations such as line locating, tank checks, fluid handling, and equipment inspection.
• Coordinate shutdowns and commissioning with construction; participate in PSSR and SIMOPS procedures for asset transfers.
• Accurately document information and use computerized databases for work orders and reporting.
