Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Field Merchandising Representative to merchandise, stock, and ensure proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee freshness. This full-time temporary position is estimated at 6 months to 1 year, with a daytime shift and a driving component.

You will drive the company route truck, complete DOT daily logs, cultivate new account opportunities, and build strong customer relationships while executing promotions. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Chauffer License may be required for IN/MI/TN locations.
• 1–3 years of DSD experience preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise, stock, and ensure proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays.
• Drive sales by securing new display space and using sales data for store-level strategies.
• Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while executing promotions.
• Introduce new products to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and new customers.
• Complete daily route settlement procedures for products, invoices, and cash with inventory counts.
• Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness.
• Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.

• Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.

Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN).
• Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers.
• 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.
• Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
