Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Senior Director, Field Medical Affairs Team Lead to build and lead the field medical organization for rese‑cel in myositis and other autoimmune diseases. You will oversee an MSL team, shape strategy, and drive pre-launch and launch activities across the US.

This role requires deep scientific expertise, 10+ years in pharma/biotech, and 8+ years as an MSL, with 3–5 years leading cell therapy teams.

Qualifications

• Requires an advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO) with 10+ years in pharma/biotech.
• MSL experience: 8+ years with 3–5 years leading MSL teams in cell therapy.
• Cell therapy site certifications are highly desirable.
• Immunology/autoimmune therapeutic area expertise preferred.
• Proven ability to build medical affairs strategies and KPIs; strong stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Veeva CRM).

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing MSL team aligned with pre-launch and launch objectives.
• Establish team structure, onboarding, and training programs for cell therapy complexities.
• Foster scientific excellence, compliance, collaboration, and performance management.
• Develop and implement the field medical strategy aligned with plans; translate data into field engagement.
• Ensure launch readiness with messaging, materials, and KOL engagement plans.
• Lead insights generation and integrate feedback into medical and commercial strategies.
• Oversee engagement with KOLs, investigators, and treatment centers; guide MSLs in complex discussions.
• Support advisory boards, investigator meetings, and scientific forums; identify thought leaders.
• Partner cross-functionally to support trial execution and pre-launch planning; provide field insights.
• Contribute to publication strategy; ensure regulatory/legal compliance.
• Develop budgets, KPIs, and reporting; monitor landscape and data.
