Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform complex mechanical functions across engines, compressors, pumps and related equipment. You will lead projects, mentor staff, and potentially oversee contractors while ensuring safe, reliable plant operations.

The role requires the ability to work extended hours, manage various maintenance tasks, and document activities in SAP. This position is based in Texas with on-site responsibilities and a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Willing and able to work extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to perform callouts when needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis on engines, compressors, pumps and related components.
• Leads or performs overhaul of compressors and engines, including foundation work and testing.
• Provides QA/QC oversight of 3rd party contractors.
• Maintains and repairs mechanical equipment and associated components.
• Responds to operational emergencies as part of an on-call team.
• Completes regulatory inspections and documents accurately.
