Field Mechanical Installer – Conveyor Systems (Travel 100%)

Job summary

Dematic is seeking Mechanical Installers to join a growing team. The position requires 100% travel to customer locations across the USA and a background in installing and maintaining conveyor equipment.

You will work under site supervision, perform safety-minded tasks, and support project leadership on multiple customer sites. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred but not required.
• 2–5 years’ experience installing/maintaining conveyor equipment.
• Valid driver's license
• Experience with conveyor system layout, component pre-assembly, header steel installation, platform and structural steel erection, guard rail, rack, air piping, detailing and run-in of installed equipment.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for safety on site.
• Complete assigned mechanical tasks within allotted time and high quality as assigned by site supervision.
• Take direction from the site supervisor or foreman.
• Provide support to the site supervisor and foreman.
• Travel 100% to customer sites within the USA.
• Lift at least 50 lbs. and move about large construction sites in varying climates.
