Total Sand Services, LLC (TSS) is seeking a Mechanical Technician to coordinate maintenance and repair tasks on customer well locations, ensuring timely service delivery and accurate inventory records.

This role requires oilfield experience, strong mechanical aptitude, clear English communication, and a valid driver's license. The position involves outdoor work, a fast-paced environment, and potential for advancement within the growing logistics and service network.

Qualifications

  • Oil field experience preferred.
  • Strong and clear English communication.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
  • Previous experience in a mechanical or maintenance role, preferably in oil & gas.
  • Ability to work well in a team and outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment; perform preventative maintenance.
  • Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components.
  • Use schematics to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems.
  • Coordinate and execute maintenance and repair of equipment on customer well locations.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and repairs on wellsite equipment including heavy-duty conveyor belt work.
  • Repair mechanical, air, hydraulic, automation, and electrical systems up to 480V.
  • Maintain timely service delivery and accurate inventory records.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with rigging up and rigging down equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety protocols.

A Mechanical Technician is responsible for the coordination and execution of maintenance and repair tasks on customer well locations. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the timely delivery of services and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Schedule Options
  • Monday through Friday schedule available for local candidates.
  • Rotational hitch schedule available for non-local candidates, with housing provided.
Mechanical Technician Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair of electronic equipment; preventative maintenance
  • Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components
  • Use schematics to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems
  • Coordinate and execute maintenance and repair of equipment on customer well locations.
  • Perform thorough diagnostic tests and repairs on wellsite equipment including splicing and cutting heavy duty conveyor belt and related products.
  • Perform repair on equipment with the following systems: mechanical, air systems, hydraulic, automation systems, and electrical up to 480V.
  • Ensure timely delivery of services and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and inspections.
  • Assist with rigging up and rigging down equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • Oil field experience preferred.
  • Strong and clear communication skills in English.
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR for the last 3 years.
  • Previous experience in a mechanical or maintenance role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs and equipment
  • Physically capable of safely driving and operating a company vehicle.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch while performing a hand task.
  • Ability to pull, push, and lift 111 pounds.
  • Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE.
  • Able to work rotational schedule and long hours.
