Job summary

Centuri Group is seeking a skilled Mechanic to support field operations in the Virginia area. You will perform welding, repair and overhaul of trucks and equipment, and communicate repair timelines and costs with the team. CDL is preferred or can be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities include maintaining repair logs, completing safety training, and supporting administrative duties as needed. The role requires mobility to travel to job sites and work outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL strongly preferred or ability to acquire CDL permit within 60 days of hire.
• Skilled in mechanical operations including welding, vehicle and small equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic welding tasks.
• Repair, overhaul and replace major truck and automobile components.
• Communicate with team regarding broken equipment, repairs, timelines and costs.
• Service equipment when returned from a job site.
• Make major and minor repairs to equipment.
• Maintain log books of repairs.
• Complete required safety training and company training.
• Perform Administrative and Lineman duties as required.
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership.
