Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Field Mechanic to join our hands‑on maintenance team. You will repair heavy equipment, assist crane assembly/disassembly, perform rigging and signaling, and operate barge cranes across sites in WA, OR, CA, AZ and ID.

Boise will be the primary hub between assignments. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, willingness to travel extensively, a valid driver’s license, and a safety‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience with crane erection, rigging, signaling, or barge operations preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly and disassembly of cranes at various job sites.
• Perform rigging and signaling duties to ensure safe operations.
• Operate and maintain barge-based cranes and related marine equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required by McMillen’s operational needs.
• Perform maintenance and repair on various types of equipment including boats and cranes.
