Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Field Mechanic to service and repair rental equipment. The role emphasizes diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and Tier 4 aftertreatment expertise. Significant tool ownership and a proactive, team-oriented mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of diesel mechanic experience, with construction equipment or rental background.
• Proficient troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems (Tier 4 and aftertreatment).
• Experience repairing diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and test equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine service including checking fluid levels and lubrication.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance and repair records, including warranties.
• Work as part of a team to meet service goals.
