Job summary

Pape’ Machinery, Inc is seeking a Field Mechanic to join their Hillsboro, OR team. You will diagnose and repair agricultural equipment at customer sites, ensuring repairs are accurate and uptime is maximized.

Travel within the service area in a fully equipped service vehicle, with a focus on customer satisfaction. The role requires 3+ years of field experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, preferably Agriculture.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work with little supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record; CDL preferred.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment at customer locations in the field.
• Repair, replace or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components, electrical and air systems.
• Welding and fabrication as required.
• Travel within the service area in a fully equipped Pape’ service vehicle; interact with customers and ensure uptime.
