Job summary

Indorama in Port Neches, TX seeks a Mechanical Technician to install, calibrate and troubleshoot electronic flow meters and related equipment. You will work with various meters and perform prover-based verifications, density checks, and programming of flow computers in a hands-on field setting.

Requires an associate degree in Instrumentation or related field and 0–2 years of pipeline/measurement technician experience; TWIC card is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in Instrumentation or related field.
• 0–2 years of pipeline/measurement technician experience.
• TWIC card certification or eligibility.
• Ability to work overtime and ensure data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain, inspect, test, calibrate and prove electronic flow meters and related equipment.
• Use positive displacement, mass flow, turbine, and orifice meters for measurements.
• Prove meters with a portable ballistic prover.
• Perform density verifications on Coriolis meters for mass proving.
• Program and troubleshoot OMNI and Dynamic flow computers.
• Observe as witness to third-party prover and water draws.
