Job summary

SMEUSA in Ohio is seeking a CMS Engineering Technician to perform field testing on concrete, soils, asphalt and other construction materials. You will collect samples, monitor test results, and prepare accurate field reports for contractors, clients, architects and project teams.

You will work with engineers and supervisors to ensure quality, safety, and timely project progress, using testing equipment and data tools while staying current with industry best practices and standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient with computer OS and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and team.
• Strong organizational skills and accurate record-keeping.
• Adaptable to changing conditions and interruptions.
• Basic construction knowledge and ability to interpret surveys/maps.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical field problems.
• Commitment to safety and ethical conduct.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk on uneven ground, and travel to sites.
