Job summary

Artisan Design Group (ADG) is seeking a Field Manager to oversee multiple communities, ensuring job-site readiness, quality, and service standards across installations in the flooring trade. This role requires self-directed work in a high-volume market and strong problem-solving skills.

A successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of tile, carpet, wood, and related flooring disciplines, plus proficient communication with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • High-school graduate with supervisory experience.
  • 2-5 years of supervisory skills required.
  • 5 years' experience in Tile, Carpet, Wood/LVP industry preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with TCNA standards and legal work authorization requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in the field to customers, upholding our reputation for service and quality.
  • Ensure efficient workflow in the field and monitor homesite readiness.
  • Verify quality and completion of installations, coordinating corrections with the installer.
  • Identify root causes for problems arising in the field and develop solutions.
  • Serve as on-site contact for Builders to ensure satisfaction with field performance.
  • Facilitate communication between Builders, Account Coordinators, Installers and JF Administrative personnel.
  • Travel to jobsites across the Just Floors area of operation and perform site audits.

JOB SUMMARY

The Field Manager is responsible for monitoring the status of work across multiple communities, ensuring job-site readiness, quality, and service standards are met. They must communicate at a high level with our customers and administrative team. They operate as subject matter experts, advising our clients on industry practices and standards. A successful field manager must be proficient at self-directed work in a high-volume market and must exhibit excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They must possess a deep understanding of the Flooring trade, including floor and wall tile, wood/laminate flooring, and carpet.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Representing the company in the field to our customers, upholding our reputation for service and quality.

Ensures efficient workflow in the field.

Monitors homesite readiness using company tracking system.

Verifies quality and completion of installations, coordinating corrections with the installer.

Identify root cause for problems arising in the field.

Serves as the on-site contact for Builders to ensure they are pleased with JF's field performance.

Identifies issues in the field and develop solutions.

Ensure installer's work is held to Just Floors and Industry standards.

Facilitates communication between Builders and Account Coordinators.

Facilitates communication between Installers and JF Administrative personnel.

Grows and nurtures relationships with Builders.

Performs Site audits on every installation using mobile-based auditing applications.

Regularly participates in opportunities to increase knowledge and experience in their field.

Ensure all installers use the proper PPE as needed.

Ensures tools and equipment used by installers are maintained in safe operating condition.

Coordinates with Operations Manager for regular Installation/Field Ops Meetings.

Travelling to jobsites across the Just Floors area of operation.

Performs other duties as necessary to ensure jobs are completed on schedule and on budget.

Inspect and report on quality and defects.

Develop and implement solutions to problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications

High-school graduate

Demonstrated 2-5 years of supervisory skills

5 years' experience in Tile, Carpet, Wood/LVP industry preferred

Valid Driver's license

Ability to lift boxes or bags exceeding 50 lbs.

Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with TCNA standards

Mobility: Frequently required to move throughout the office, warehouse, or job site to access materials, equipment, or files.
Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 50+ pounds.

Positioning: May be required to position oneself to inspect, maintain, or install materials, including stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate and exchange accurate information with customers and team members, including in busy or noisy environments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

Job Site/Field: Exposure to active construction sites, outdoor weather conditions, dust, and fumes. Requires use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.

Travel: Requires travel to job sites, etc.
