Job summary

Adventist Health in California seeks a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) to provide general nursing care under supervision of an RN or MD. You will participate in patient care planning, apply asepsis in treatments, and direct ancillary staff as needed.

Responsibilities include administering medications, performing procedures, guiding patient education, and contributing to discharge planning. On-call duties may be required based on location and agency needs.

Qualifications

• LVN licensure in the state of practice required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Arrhythmia certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and age 21+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for assigned patients under the supervision of an RN or MD according to nursing process.
• Performs routine visits and assists in developing an interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Implements and coordinates plan of care and patient teaching, including discharge plans.
• Performs clinical procedures (phlebotomy, injections, drug screens) and administers medications.
• Orders or restocks supplies and maintains cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
