Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground with paint and flags. We provide 100% paid on-the-job training and equipment, and vehicle use with a fuel card for daily commutes.

Ideal candidates enjoy outdoor work, independence, and quick problem-solving under varying weather. Flexible schedule with some evenings, weekends, and holidays; on-call rotation may apply.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs or more with aids.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safety-focused: think and act with safety first.
• Receive, document, and process tickets using a laptop.
• Read maps and blueprints to plan locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate clearly with peers, managers, and homeowners.
