Job summary

American Cementing LLC is seeking a Field Leader I-III in Dickinson, ND. This role serves as an operational lead and technical resource for field personnel, guiding Operators in Training and higher-level Operators while ensuring safe and efficient field operations in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.

The Field Leader coordinates with supervisors, supports safety meetings, and oversees rig-in/rig-out processes, equipment readiness, and field documentation to uphold

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker/Hazmat endorsements preferred.
  • DOT physical, drug screen, background check, and MVR review required.
  • 3+ years oilfield services experience; supervisory/leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Supervisors to ensure timely job site arrival and readiness of equipment and materials.
  • Assist in pre-job safety meetings and execution of operational procedures.
  • Direct and assist crew with rig-in/rig-out processes and ensure proper setup.
  • Provide ongoing technical support during treatments; monitor safety and efficiency.
  • Communicate with customer representatives and support positive client relationships.
  • Review and approve field documentation including fuel logs, job tickets, post-job reports, and safety checklists.

Position Summary

The Field Leader serves as an operational lead and technical resource for field personnel. This role is responsible for guiding Operators in Training and Operators II, III, and IV while ensuring field operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Supervisors to ensure timely job site arrival and readiness of equipment and materials
  • Assist in pre-job safety meetings and execution of operational procedures
  • Direct and assist crew with rig-in/rig-out processes and ensure proper setup
  • Provide ongoing technical support during treatments; monitor field operations for safety and efficiency
  • Communicate with customer representatives and support positive client relationships
  • Identify and resolve standard operational issues; elevate complex problems to Supervisor
  • Review and approve field documentation including fuel logs, job tickets, post-job reports, and safety checklists
  • Operate heavy-duty and complex equipment as needed
  • Perform vehicle and equipment inspections; ensure everything is in safe working condition
  • Exercise stop work authority when unsafe conditions or alternative solutions are identified
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational goals
QualificationsQualifications
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Class A CDL required; Tanker and/or Hazmat endorsements preferred
  • Able to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, background check, and MVR review
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in oilfield services
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
Skills & Knowledge
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Strong leadership and mentoring ability
  • Adaptability to dynamic work conditions
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • High safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Train, mentor, and support the development of junior Operators
  • Immediately report all hazards, near misses, accidents, and injuries to appropriate personnel

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in shop, yard, and field environments
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Regular exposure to moving machinery, outdoor weather conditions, diesel fumes, chemicals, dust, and moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Must be able to frequently lift, lower, carry, and move materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 65 pounds.
  • Must be able to push and pull equipment, carts, hoses, or other objects requiring up to 100 pounds of force.
  • Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and working at ground level for extended periods.
  • Must be able to climb and descend ladders, steps, platforms, and equipment while maintaining balance and stability.
  • Requires sufficient manual dexterity and fine motor coordination to operate tools, manipulate small parts, assemble and disassemble components, and perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Requires the physical stamina to perform repetitive physical activities throughout the workday while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and other safety equipment.
  • Requires visual acuity to inspect equipment, read gauges, identify defects, and safely perform maintenance and operational tasks.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other personnel in shop, office, and field environments, as applicable.
