Job summary

Vaughn Construction is seeking a Field Surveyor/Layout Technician to perform accurate layout for construction projects across Texas. You will verify elevations, establish control points, and supervise crew members to ensure quality and safety on site.

Responsibilities include operating robotic total stations, reviewing plans, and coordinating with project teams to deliver precise layouts for embeds, rebar, and formwork while maintaining daily reports and time sheets.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify construction activities for quality and compliance with plans and specs.

• Review plans and shop drawings prior to execution.
• Set up and operate total station and prism pole for precise layouts.
• Maintain accurate time sheets, daily reports, and labor projections.
• Collaborate with project management, QA/QC, and safety teammates.
