Job summary

Lithko Contracting, LLC is seeking a Field Engineer to join our team in Lexington, KY. This role focuses on planning and layout of the line and grade portion of projects, utilizing Total Station and related instruments.

You will be a key technical resource on the project team, ensuring accurate layouts and coordination with the project lead. Candidates should have 5+ years of field engineering with surveying and concrete layout experience, and a strong grasp of geometric concepts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in field engineering, surveying, and layout for large-scale Commercial, Self-Perform General Contractor, or Concrete Contractor projects.
• Some experience with self-perform concrete is required.
• Experience with a variety of project types, with an emphasis on Commercial/Industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of construction principles and practices with experience on projects over $1 million.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain permanent control throughout the line and grade portion of the project.
• Apply expertise in using Total Station, Robotic Total Station, and/or Theodolite equipment.
• Utilize data surveying software proficiently.
• Validate dimensions by reviewing architectural and structural drawings before execution.
• Ensure precision and quality in your work, constantly seeking improvements and monitoring quality levels.
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in drawings prior to execution.
• Collaborate with the project lead to ensure proper scheduling and sequencing for the line and grade portion.
• Complete layouts accurately, efficiently, and within the project timeline.
• Provide layout information to the project team for seamless execution.
