Job summary

FullTerra / Advanced Construction Technologies (ACT) is hiring a Construction Laborer for field work in Southern California (LA/OC/IE). The role involves hands-on site tasks such as excavation, membrane installation, piping, and material handling on active construction sites.

Travel to project locations and outdoor conditions are expected. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of construction-site experience, a strong work ethic, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• At least one year of construction-site experience as a laborer or similar role.
• Familiar with tools, materials, and job-site expectations.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and integrity.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Southern California sites.
• Willingness to travel and stay out of town for projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation of methane gas and soil vapor mitigation systems.
• Install sub-slab venting systems and vertical vent risers.
• Place sand, gravel, and rock in designated areas.
• Dig trenches with shovels or equipment.
• Install vapor barriers and secure membranes.
• Unroll and position plastic sheets for protection.
• Assemble and place plastic piping at ground level.
• Handle tools and materials; maintain site organization.
• Follow project plans and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety rules.
• Attend required training and perform related duties.
