Schnabel, Inc. in Newport News, VA is seeking an Experienced Engineering Technician to join our growing geotechnical team.

You will conduct field observations and testing during placement of construction materials, and support soil and concrete laboratory testing in a collaborative environment. The role requires a High School diploma (engineering/geology post-secondary work may substitute for experience), a valid driver’s license, and at least four years of construction experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; post-secondary engineering/geology degree may substitute for experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 4+ years of construction experience; ability to perform basic math.
• Strong oral/written communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Field observation and testing during placement of construction materials (soil, concrete, asphalt, etc.).
