Job summary

Circle K is seeking an Inventory Auditor primarily based in New Orleans, LA, with 80% travel by car. The role supports the Lead Auditor and Audit Department by counting merchandise and cash at store level using handheld devices, ensuring accurate and efficient results.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of inventory auditing or convenience-store retail experience and a valid driver’s license with liability insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Requires 1 year of inventory auditing experience or retail experience in a convenience store environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no major offenses and current liability car insurance.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies merchandise and cash in each store by conducting a physical count using a hand held computer.
• Notifies store manager of wrong prices and pulls out-of-code merchandise.
• Count and verify cash assets on site.
• Verifies money orders, lottery ticket inventory and bank deposits.
• Verifies gasoline inventory.
• Performs surveys to verify compliance with operational and financial procedures.
• Works in safe manner by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.
• Performs multi-tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The Inventory Auditor supports the Lead Auditor and the Audit Department in the auditing of stores on a monthly basis. The Inventory Auditor will be responsible to count merchandise at store level in a professional, accurate, and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will need to be primarily located in New Orleans, LA, as this position requires 80% of travel by car.
