Job description

At Path Robotics, we’re attacking a trillion dollar opportunity - doing things that have never been done before to support an industry hurting from a lack of skilled labor. Large, difficult problems are what Path tackles every day and our people are our greatest asset to get that job done. Our intelligent, hardworking team of people do the impossible every single day, yet remain incredibly kind, humble, and always ready to support one another.

The Field Installation Supervisor owns the installation of Path’s robotic welding systems at customer sites — mechanical, electrical, devices, and safety — from equipment arrival on the dock through a completed, verified install ready for commissioning. This is a working leadership role: you’ll direct a dedicated Path field deployment crew, coordinate subcontracted trades (riggers, electricians, millwrights), and serve as Path’s on‑site point of contact with the customer. It’s a field‑forward position (60–70% travel) for a hands‑on leader who can run a safe, organized, on‑schedule job site and hold the install to Path’s quality standard every time —while making each install better than the last.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead end-to-end system installation at customer sites: rigging and equipment placement, mechanical assembly, rail and structure alignment, electrical power and controls wiring, device integration, and safety system installation
  • Supervise and develop a Path field deployment crew — assigning work, setting daily targets, verifying workmanship, and building the team’s capability across installs
  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors (riggers, electricians, millwrights, and other trades), including scope review, scheduling, and quality acceptance of their work
  • Leader of site safety: run job hazard analyses, toolbox talks, LOTO, and permit‑to‑work processes; enforce Path and customer site safety requirements without exception
  • Plan installs before wheels‑up: review site readiness, utilities, rigging plans, material staging, tooling lists, and schedules; flag gaps to the customer and internal teams early
  • Own install quality: verify workmanship against drawings, tolerances, and checklists; document as‑built conditions, punch lists, and deviations; and hold both Path crew and subcontractors to the standard before handoff to commissioning
  • Drive continuous improvement of the installation process: develop and refine standard work, install checklists, and site playbooks; track quality escapes and rework; and lead root‑cause corrective action when installs miss the mark
  • Act as the on‑site face of Path with the customer: communicate daily progress, manage expectations, and resolve site issues professionally
  • Drive schedule: track install progress against plan, elevate risks early, and make smart trade‑off calls in the field
  • Feed lessons learned back to engineering, build, and deployment teams to improve install packages, documentation, and future site execution
