Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is hiring Environmental Field Inspectors to perform inspections of water service lines, working in field teams to determine the service line material. The role is part-time (20 hours/week) for 12 months, renewable, to be based in Danville, IL.

Responsibilities include field inspections, data entry, and coordinating daily schedules, with an emphasis on safety and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, digital cameras, and handheld data collection devices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections to determine water service line material.
• Serve as point of contact for ERM with landowners, contractors, clients, and team members.
• Review project documents and perform data entry.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to field staff.
• Coordinate daily inspections, schedules and meetings.
• Distribute water sampling test kits and contracts to landowners as needed.
• Document findings with daily inspection reports and photos.
• Participate in meetings and perform additional tasks as assigned.
