Job summary

Stretchconstruction seeks a Field Inspector to oversee daily operations on underground construction projects, ensuring work is safe, accurate, and aligned with standards. You will inspect sites, document field conditions, track progress, and coordinate with project management.

Experience with telecommunications or HDD is valued. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in construction or similar roles preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction work and site safety.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with basic tech tools like email, photos, and digital forms.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned job sites daily to check that work is being done correctly and safely.
• Keep detailed notes and take photos of field conditions.
• Track daily progress and report any issues or delays.
• Make sure work follows plans, specs, and company standards.
• Work closely with the project management team to share updates and flag any concerns.
• Help resolve on-site issues as they come up.
• Keep inspection records organized and up to date.
• Attend project meetings as needed to provide input from the field.
