Job summary

Twining Consulting is seeking an ICC commercial industrialized building inspector to inspect fabricated units for manufactured buildings at client locations. The role covers Springfield, Missouri and nearby areas, with field inspections, reporting, and client support.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years in construction or ICC codes, the ability to work from a home office, and the travel readiness to visit sites by car up to 75% of the week; ICC certifications or the ability to obtain them

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in construction, code enforcement, ICC codes, or building materials.
• Must be able to work remotely from a home office.
• Willing to travel by car up to 75% of the work week, with occasional air travel as needed for client inspection assignments.
• Minimum qualifications include ICC Commercial Building (B2), Electrical (E2), Plumbing (P2), and Mechanical (M2) Inspector Certifications, or the ability to obtain them within a short timeframe.
• Must have computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
• Able to work effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients, and prospective clients.
• Willing to grow technical knowledge and perform plan review for residential and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and audits within the scope requested by the client.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports electronically.
• Provide technical support to clients as needed, including assistance with Listings, HUD programs, Modular programs, and related services.
• Conduct audits when required.
• Communicate with regulatory agencies regarding applicable requirements.
• Perform product listing inspections.
