Job summary

CTL Engineering, Inc. seeks Construction Inspectors and Materials Testing Technicians to perform concrete testing, rebar inspection, and related field work for vertical construction projects within a multi-state region.

Ongoing mentoring and training will be provided based on experience, with opportunities for increased responsibility. Favorable weather and project schedules may require occasional Saturdays and local travel within a ~2 hour radius of Columbus.

Qualifications

• High school, technical school, or community college graduate.
• Associate degree plus 2 years related experience or Bachelor’s degree or certification preferred.
• ACI Grade I concrete testing certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection and materials testing for vertical construction projects (buildings).
• Test, inspect, and report on concrete pours, rebar placement, soils placement, and related activities.
• Maintain project records and notify non-conforming work as needed.
• Assist Engineers in field during soil and materials investigations.
• Ensure tests and observations comply with contract documents and specs.
