Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group is seeking a Field Inspector based in Port Lavaca, TX, to perform on-site inspection at client locations. The role requires reviewing drawings, ensuring design compliance, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years in Civil Industrial Construction Field.
• Physically capable to maneuver construction site including stairs and ladders.
• Knowledge of piping, nde, repair package building, knowledge of Word, Excell, outlook, ect.
• Read, interpret, and review engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all construction is in compliance with design specifications.
• Maintain Inspection logs and documentation files.
• Provide issue resolution arising from inspections.
• Deliver a successful project to the client.

Responsibilities

• Inspector with prior experience inspecting construction operations including reinforced concrete structures (pads, piles, footings, retaining walls, grading/earthwork, base materials, paving).
• Review installation drawings, contractor RFIs, change orders, progress reporting, contractor progress, site meetings.
• Read and review engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ensure construction complies with design specifications.
• Maintain inspection logs and documentation files.
• Provide issue resolution arising from inspections.
• Deliver a successful project to the client.

Position Outline

Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Field Inspector based in the Port Lavaca, Texas office.

The Field Inspector will be assigned onsite at client location in Point Comfort, Texas.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Inspector with prior experience inspecting construction operations including but not limited to reinforced concrete structures including pads, piles, footings, and retaining walls, grading/earthwork, base materials, and paving.
• Responsible for review of installation drawings, contractor's requests for information, change order requests, change proposals, progress reporting, contractor progress, construction coordination, attending site meetings, etc.
• Read, interpret, and review engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all construction is in compliance with design specifications.
• Maintain Inspection logs and documentation files.
• Provide issue resolution arising from inspections.
• Deliver a successful project to the client.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent
• 4-5 years in Civil Industrial Construction Field. Holidays and weekends as needed.
• Physically capable to maneuver construction site including stairs and ladders.
• Knowledge of piping, nde, repair package building, knowledge of Word, Excell, outlook, ect.
• Stationary equipment and piping repair package building and review bid package building, assisting field planners with T/A related activities.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
