Job summary

HUNGRY is transforming workplace dining by connecting offices with chefs and local restaurants to deliver exceptional meals and pantry solutions. As a Field Hospitality Porter, you will nurture client relationships and help ensure overall account success in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

This role requires travel between client sites, attention to food safety, and a genuine passion for people. Working hours are M-F 7am-2pm with a pay rate of $19-$23/hour, and eligibility for a 401k

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience is required.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to travel between multiple client sites.
• Current food handler card and basic food safety knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Coffee Machine Services: Replenish beans, reset waste bins, maintain machines.
• Inventory tasks/storage room: FIFO storage, stockroom upkeep, prepare delivery lists.
• Water machine services: empty drip tray and keep clean.
• Snack & Fruit services: restock, label facing out, remove expired items, donate as needed.
• Expired Products: report and coordinate returns.
• Travel between client sites to audit best practices.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and deliver excellent customer service.

The Role:

As a Field Hospitality Porter with HUNGRY, you will play a key role in maintaining client relationships & ensuring overall account success. You’ll be in an energetic environment where you’ll have the ability to master your food & beverage craft, work alongside friends, and meet new people every day.

• Expected Schedule: M-F 7am-2pm
• Pay Range: $19-23/hr

What You’ll Do

Coffee Machine Services:

• Replenish coffee beans
• Reset waste bins, empty drip trays
• Maintain clean machines inside & out

Inventory tasks/storage room:

• Properly store inventory: dry goods vs refrigerated using FIFO rotation
• Keep stockroom neat, take out trash, cardboard & recycling
• Make list of items needed for next delivery and submit before noon

Water machine services:

• Empty drip tray, keep clean inside & out

Snack & Fruit services:

• Take note of low inventory items during morning setup
• Restock items with labels facing out, follow FIFO rotation
• Remove any expired products from the kitchens
• Distribute all fruit varieties to each kitchen, remove damaged fruit, sort properly for donations

Expired Products:

• Return any expired products to the storage room to be counted
• Notify solutions desk of expired products, so they can be returned to warehouse

• Ability to travel between multiple client sites and audit best practices at each location
• Previous Hospitality experience and proven track record of success
• Possess a current food handler card & understand basic food safety principles
• Meticulous, dependable, organized, forward thinking, initiative-taking, and approachable.
• Careful understanding of products, allergens, and ingredients.
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions & request clarification when needed
• Prepare coffee drinks by following recipes and preparation techniques, use grinding and brewing equipment
• Ability to educate customers & answer coffee/food related questions
• Track inventory for snacks, drinks, coffee products
• Troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, assisting with performing preventive maintenance.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Have experience in client success, hospitality, or operations, and love building relationships with customers
