Job summary

PUSH Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate equipment for installing fiber, copper, and power cables, and potentially sewer or water facilities. You will support digging operations, read prints, and mentor junior operators in a field-heavy role across rural and urban sites.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, learning various machines (backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, track hoe) and assisting with labor tasks as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Field experience with digging operations around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Experience operating utility construction equipment including backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, or track hoe.
• Ability to train and mentor other team members.
• Knowledge of reading prints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment (backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, track hoe) on job sites.
• Perform routine labor: potholing, equipment setup, conduit/duct/cable placement, pedestals.
• Provide training and assistance to co-workers learning to be operators.
• Drive tow vehicle hauling equipment to and around job sites.
