Job summary

Wheeler Machinery Co. in Ogden, UT is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Lube Technician/Field Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled PM services on CAT and non-CAT equipment in the field, emphasizing safety and reliability.

You will use computers and mobile devices for communication, document inspections and coordinate with customers and dealers. The role involves fluid changes, filters and greases, swing shift coverage, travel as needed, and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a Lube Technician working on CAT or Non-CAT Heavy Equipment.
• Safety oriented and will abide by Wheeler Safety Programs.
• Integrity, good work ethic, positive attitude and self-starting mindset.
• Ability to work well with customers and co-workers as a team.
• Provide own tools to perform services.
• Must have or be willing to obtain MSHA certification.
• Must have a clean MVR (motor vehicle report).
• Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Services on heavy construction equipment.
• Good computer and organizational skills; adapts to new technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM Services on CAT and non-CAT equipment in the field.
• Change compartment fluids, filters, grease and related items on machinery.
• Swing shift work period is planned; overtime/weekends may be required.
• Drive safely and follow traffic laws.
• Use computer, smartphone and other tech for communication with customer and dealer.
• Perform electronic inspections on PM Services.
• Must be knowledgeable with basic machine functions, maintenance and operation.
• Order parts as required per job.
