Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is seeking a hands-on Mechanic to maintain and repair construction equipment, primarily ready-mix trucks, in field locations across the region.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and work with welding and fabrication as needed, while supporting safety and teamwork in outdoor environments. This role requires English communication and physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a truck mechanic.
• Knowledge of truck mechanics, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
• Proficiency with power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance software (experience with Allison transmissions and ESA software preferred).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively, with physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and tolerate outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trucks and associated systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic).
• Diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Operate mobile service trucks and maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
• Weld, fabricate, and purchase parts as needed for repairs.
• Support safety policies, mentor co-workers, and provide on-site assistance at other locations.
