Linder Industrial Machinery Company is seeking a Field Heavy/Diesel Mechanic/Technician in Raleigh, NC. This role repairs construction machines, components, and parts in shop and in the field, including diagnosing, ordering parts, writing technical reports, and warranty documentation.

The position emphasizes safety, proper tool usage, and clear communication with supervision. Training and advancement opportunities are available within a premier dealer network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience.
• Technician Classification is based on experience, knowledge, and competence.

Responsabilités

• Repairs equipment and components, including developing a repair plan and sequence.
• Determines necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
• Performs repairs properly and safely with QA testing of repair components or systems.
• Completes reports for parts ordering, tooling usage, daily service reports, and work orders.
• Communicates repair progress to supervisor as required.
• Manages parts, materials, and tools through company systems.
• Maintains safe, clean work area and service vehicle; follows all policies and safety guidelines.

Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology

Four years of apprenticeship experience

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the repair of construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field, including diagnosing, parts ordering, technical report writing, warranty reporting, maintaining care of company assets, and proper communication with others.

Re s pon s ibilitie s :

• Repairs equipment and components, including
• Development of a repair plan andsequence
• Determining necessary parts, materials, tooling,etc.
• Performing repairs properly and safely, with proper quality assurance testing of repair component or system andmachine
• Maintains and completes all necessary reports legibly and in a timely fashion for parts ordering, special tooling usage, daily service reports, and work order closure
• Communicates progress of repair with direct supervisor asrequired
• Retrieves and returns parts and/or materials through Company’s parts orderingsystem
• Retrieves and returns special tools through Company’s Tool Room. Maintains proper care and use of special tools including major shop equipment, such as but not limited to, air compressor, cleaning tanks, overhead and jib cranes,etc.
• Uses Company vehicle, service truck, and fuel cardsproperly
• Maintains work area and/or service vehicle in a safe and cleanmanner
• Maintains tools and tool carrier in a safe, productive and updatedmanner
• Follows all company policies andprocedures
• Observes all safetyguidelines
• Performs other tasks as requested bymanager

Education/E x pe ri e n ce / S kil ls:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.equivalent

Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four (4) Years of apprenticeshipexperience

Technician Classification is based on experience, knowledge, andcompetence
