Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. is seeking a M&R Technician 1 (SGL5) based in Forrest City, AR to test, repair and maintain gas meters, regulators and related equipment, ensuring accurate measurements and safe operations.

The successful candidate will work independently, follow safety and compliance requirements, and respond to callouts or emergencies as needed; strong mechanical and electrical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years natural gas operations experience, 10 years preferred, or 2 years advanced technical education in instrumentation/electronics.
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and follow safety procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Test meters for calibration and service readiness.
• Inspect, calibrate, and repair field test meters, station regulators, and related equipment.
• Install and service recording instruments and telemetering devices.
• Assist with high-volume meter and regulator installations and repairs.
• Respond to callouts and emergencies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with laws, ethics and company policies.
