Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP seeks a Distribution Project Planner to support development of strategic project plans for gas and electric facilities in San Diego. Travel to client sites will be required to gather data and define project scope, with a focus on safe, cost-effective design options.

The role requires at least a High School diploma and 2+ years experience on utility distribution projects, plus proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, MS Office, Smartsheet and SAP. Local candidates only.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years of utility distribution project experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit work sites to collect information and help determine project scope.
• Meet with customers to identify design limitations and requests.
• Prepare service orders and field memos with safe, cost-effective designs.
• Apply design principles across overhead, underground, gas; interpret CPUC rules and standards.
• Use AutoCAD, GIS, MS Office, Smartsheet and SAP to support design work.
