Job summary

GeoEngineers in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer in our pipelines discipline with strong geotechnical focus. The role involves significant field time and travel up to 50% regionally and nationally, supporting trenchless pipeline and transportation projects.

Qualified candidates have a civil engineering degree (geotechnical emphasis preferred) and 1 year of related experience. AutoCAD and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; geotechnical emphasis for master's preferred.
• 1 year related experience preferred.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute geotechnical subsurface exploration programs.
• Perform site reconnaissance and document existing conditions.
• Prepare field reports and geotechnical analyses including slope stability.
• Observe trenchless construction activities and ensure specs compliance.
• Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and contractors.
• Perform trenchless design calculations using in-house software.
• Assist CAD designers with development of design plans.
• Assist with writing technical reports and proposals.
• Provide support to geotechnical teams at other locations as needed.
