Job summary

CRB Water is seeking a Flow Survey Technician to perform cooling water flow surveys at industrial facilities, power plants, refineries, chemical plants, and commercial sites. The role requires extensive travel, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in industrial environments.

You will operate ultrasonic flow meters, record data, and contribute to process flow diagrams and survey deliverables while collaborating with project managers and customers.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• TWIC card required.
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Excel, and basic reporting software.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform work in industrial environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass customer-required safety training, drug screens, and background checks.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% or more as project demands require.

Responsibilities

• Perform cooling tower and heat exchanger flow surveys at customer facilities.
• Operate ultrasonic flow meters and associated diagnostic equipment.
• Measure flow rates, temperatures, pressures, and other process variables.
• Trace piping systems and verify system configurations.
• Record and organize field data accurately.
• Prepare sketches, notes, and supporting information for final reports.
• Travel extensively to customer sites throughout North America.
