Job summary

Total Safety is seeking a Fire Technician II to join our safety-focused team in the Borger, TX area. The role covers service inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of fire equipment, including extinguishers, detection systems, and suppression gear.

You will complete documentation for invoicing and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with relevant field experience, plus knowledge of OSHA/NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least 2 years of field experience in fire protection or related industry.
• Associate degree in science or technical area strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of State, OSHA and NFPA regulations; ability to obtain licenses as required.
• Must be able to obtain TWIC and pass safety testing (e.g., OSHA 10).
• Must have or obtain State Fire Licenses or NICET levels as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Performs shop and/or field inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire equipment.
• Completes inspection/repair documentation and secures customer signature for invoicing.
• Conducts detailed visual inspections and system functional tests; reports deficiencies.
• Conducts pre-, during-, and post-job briefs.
• Stocking, loading, and staging equipment; keeping areas clean.
• Operates safety systems and PPE; rigs safety equipment.
• Certified to work on both onshore and offshore sites.
