Job summary

AT&T in Candler, North Carolina is hiring a Machine Operator to install and maintain fiber and copper services, operate trenching and digging equipment, and ensure safety while delivering high-quality service.

You will work Monday–Friday, 40 hours, with occasional overtime and possible regional assignments; you must pass DOT medical and hold a CDL as required, and you will coordinate with customers and utilities.

Qualifications

  • Desire to work Monday through Friday with an 8-hour shift.
  • Willingness to work mandatory overtime and holidays as needed.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Able to operate various machines and tools.
  • Lift up to 120 pounds and use computers to update status.

Responsibilities

  • Locate buried facilities and operate vehicles with trailer and machinery.
  • Perform manual excavation with shovel.
  • Provide repairs to low voltage utilities and sprinkler systems.
  • Maintain equipment with basic non-complex repairs.
  • Read and interpret simple instructions and follow safety procedures.
