Job summary

AutoZone in California is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure our stores remain safe and well-maintained. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections across designated stores, handling electrical, plumbing, and general building tasks.

You will manage work orders, assist in vendor selection, and conduct preventive maintenance while traveling overnight to assigned locations. A valid driver's license and adherence to safety protocols are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
1-2 years of maintenance experience or equivalent education.
Skills in electrical, plumbing, and general construction.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet AutoZone's driving requirements.
Must be 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections across designated stores.
Troubleshoot and repair minor maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment.
Manage work orders and report store conditions using electronic media.
Assist in identifying vendors and perform diagnostics on the Energy Management System.
Maintain vehicle maintenance records for assigned stores.
Frequent overnight travel and adherence to safety protocols.
