Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Sedalia, MO, is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Technician who splits time between hands-on fabrication and field startups, building PVC/CPVC systems and supporting live installations. You will read drawings, operate saws, drills, routers, CNC machines, and injection molding equipment, verify installations, run leak tests, and troubleshoot in real time with on-site startup responsibility.

Travel to customer sites up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading drawings, blueprints, and basic system layouts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools and fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment to cut, drill, and assemble PVC/CPVC components.
• Measure, fit, and assemble parts according to drawings and work orders.
• Perform machine setup and routine maintenance to support production.
• Conduct quality inspections to meet standards and specs.
• Maintain production records and report issues.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily goals and deadlines.
• Load/unload shipments and assist with inventory.
• Support field installations and startups for aeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot with contractors, supervisors, and engineers during startup.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workplace.
