Job summary

Reeder Distributors, Inc. seeks a dependable Equipment Installation Technician to install, configure, and service automotive shop equipment—including lifts, air compressors, and tire-changing machines—while collaborating with clients and project teams.

Candidates with electrical, mechanical, or maintenance experience are encouraged to apply; paid training is provided. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday with overtime potential, and compensation is up to $25 per hour, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Forklift and OSHA certification preferred.
• At least one year of mechanical or related technical experience with a stable work history.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test automotive shop equipment, including lifts, air compressors, and tire-changing machines.
• Run air and electrical lines while reading and interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Conduct site surveys to assess client needs and determine installation processes.
• Communicate with clients on-site, providing updates and training on equipment use and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and service reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to meet standards, timelines, and budgets.
