Job summary

Belshire, a 100% employee-owned environmental services firm in Long Beach, CA, seeks an Environmental Compliance Specialist. The role combines field inspections of UST/AST facilities with annual training for facility staff. Occasional overnight travel is required.

Starting pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour with a $500 signing bonus after 90 days. Travel time and mileage are reimbursed; training and certifications are paid by the company. Monday–Friday schedule with some overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; California UST System Operator certification beneficial.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regulatory visual inspections at gas stations and UST/AST facilities.
• Communicate crucial compliance information to clients across regulations.
• Provide annual training to facility employees on safety and compliance duties.
• Complete state inspection report forms.
• Perform additional environmental regulatory audits as required.
• Travel between home office and job sites; work in the field and from home office.
