Job summary

Civicworks partners with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to conduct compliance inspections and investigations across environmental programs, based in the Northwest District in Tallahassee, FL. Qualifications

• Valid driver license and ability to travel including overnight stays.
• 4+ years of experience in Environmental/Regulatory fields or a post-secondary degree in Natural Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, scientific principles, and field sampling techniques.
• Ability to conduct outdoor field inspections and navigate rough terrain in Florida conditions.
• OSHA 24-hour HAZWOPER certification required within one year of hire.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance inspections and investigations for environmental programs (solid waste, hazardous waste, stormwater, air quality, and water resources).
• Perform field inspections and permit file reviews.
• Analyze data and provide enforcement recommendations.
