Job summary

T. W. Frierson Contractor, Inc. is hiring a Field Engineer to gain real-world experience on commercial job sites under the guidance of seasoned Superintendents. The role focuses on safety coordination, site logistics, and supporting layout and measurements.

You will travel daily to multiple job sites within a reasonable radius, assist with RFIs and permits, and contribute to daily operations while developing leadership skills for future field roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's in Construction Management preferred.
• 6+ months of field commercial construction or internship experience.
• Strong math, communication, and computer skills.
• Willingness to travel daily to various job sites and work flexible hours.
• Level 2 requires prior Field Engineer experience and ability to lead small teams.

What You’ll Do:

What You Bring:

Position Requirements

Travel Requirements:

• Daily travel to various job site locations within 100-mile radius of office
• Occasional travel to meetings or events within 50-mile radius of office, 4 – 6 times per year
• Occasional out-of-town assignments

Physical Demands of Job:

• Ability to work outdoors and indoors without temperature control continuously
• Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects without assistance from other personnel or lifting equipment
• Constant standing, frequent walking, occasional kneeling/squatting/climbing
• Ability to maintain balance while walking and working on scaffolds and ladders
• Ability to reach for, grasp, and manipulate construction materials and tools
• Ability to see well (naturally or with correction)
