Job summary

FusionICS, LLC in Washington, DC is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide onsite technical oversight and quality-control support for major construction projects. You will inspect work, evaluate contractor performance, document deficiencies, and verify compliance with project plans and standards while coordinating with engineers, government personnel, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Six years of experience in engineering support, construction quality control, or infrastructure management is preferred.
• Familiarity with DoW construction projects, military facilities, or government contracting is preferred.
• Active Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to evaluate construction activities, workmanship, materials, equipment, and site conditions, recommend improvements and oversee contractor execution.
• Review work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable engineering and safety standards.
• Identify and document deficiencies and follow corrective actions through resolution.
• Ensure projects comply with federal, DoW, and engineering standards for safety and performance.
• Develop and maintain technical reports, engineering documentation, and compliance records.
• Support the training and development of junior staff.
